Harvest

Our 5th harvest this year was last Sunday, and man did we have volunteers! The summer-term students arrived this weekend, and already about 15 people turned up on Sunday to help out. What a great group of enthusiastic students. With all the help, and with the emergency harvest only 3 days ago, it only took about 10 minutes to harvest salad greens, pea greens, a few radishes, and kale and mizuna for a dinner soup tonight.
This week we will try to plant in most of the last succession plantings of the year, since we only have 8 more weeks of summer already! Anyone interested in helping with this week’s bed preparations and plantings, keep checking the white board at the bottom of the lunch line!
